Essay #2 – The Blind Movie

 

Introduction

“The Blind Side” movie shows us a story of a football player Michael Oher, who plays for The Baltimore Ravens of the NFL. This movie point out the Michael’s  unfortunate life through his years at Wingate Christian School. During his Childhood, Michael lived with different families because his mother has a drug and alcohol addiction. The movie is about the best humanity acts and how a family can help Michael to live a better life with love, faith and self-confidence.

 

Some of the most impressive moments of the movie and the story of Michael is when Ms. Anne Tuohy, tells her husband to turn the car around to get Oher and invites him to sleep in their home. , Once there, this family starts shaping him into a well-rounded student with a bright future. She cannot accept that Mike has no place to sleep. She treats Michael like a member of the family and asks her children and husband to welcome him as part of the family. Also, it is difficult to accept that kind of love from Anne because Michael has never received so much love in his life. It is the fateful start of a close relationship, and the Tuohys eventually adopt Oher.

 Anne gives faith to Mike, who starts recovering his self-esteem and a normal life in school. Michael wants to receive help, and she wants to change his life. Some of her friends tell her she is doing a wrong thing, but she thinks that with faith she could help others to recover from a past life. Anne also learns that although Oher's academic scores are low; his skills to protect those he cares about are higher. Part of his skill about care others he demonstrated passion and discipline to help the team to win.

 Michael’s self-confidence better with his adoptive mother’s support.  He becomes one of the most successful players in the NFL. He overcomes great odds to graduate from college and starts playing football professionally. Also, he learns important values for his life, and he shows self-confidence and love in everything he receives from his adoptive parents. He also showed with love and faith can overcome any obstacle in the life.

 

Nowadays this film gives us a life lesson where we as humans could help many people to provide them guidance to achieve their  goals in life. This movie is one of those films that help many youngsters who are starting sports. They have a greater motivation to achieve goals and win medals. Practice sports are key motivation to away youngsters from drugs.
