Storytelling

From the early days of humanity, when mythological stories were shared around the camp fire, to our modern day political leaders and inspiring figures, people have used the power of storytelling to share their vision and create a sense of community. For the past couple of years the marketing world has also been abuzz with brand storytelling.

Unit 4 - Animal Intelligence

In Unit 4 we studied about animal's intelligence. Some animals can... 1. create words and symbols. 2. do simple math. 3. recognize themselves in a mirror. 4. play tricks on humans. 5. show a sense of humor. 6. show grief. 7. lie to others.

Unit 3 - Early to Bed, Early to Rise

In this unit we will be studying the effects of Sleep Deprivation. What is sleep deprivation? Sleep deprivation is the condition of not having enough sleep; it can be either chronic or acute. Part of physical consequences of sleep deprivation, deficits in attention and working memory are perhaps the most important. Sleep deprivation can sometimes be self-imposed due to a lack of desire to sleep or the habitual use of stimulant drugs. A chronic sleep-restricted state can cause visual memory capacity, daytime sleepiness and weight gain.

Unit 2 - The Achilles Heel

In the next chapter we will talk about people overcoming obstacles. For example, n American football offensive tackle for the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League that overcome obstacles in his life.
